The new Fiesta combines a comfortable ride with great performance and great power. This is the kind of supermini you need if you regularly drive between A and B-roads in the country. The Ford EcoBoost engine is usually responsive, it seems to be usable and it is usually nice and quiet, but the car feels weak with its 100PS output. There is also turbo lag, which causes some discomfort at low revs, which is normal with a 3-cylinder, 1-liter engine downsized from the manufacturer’s lineup.
