Citroën C3 2025 – After unveiling the new electric Citroen e-C3 late last year, the French marque has unveiled its gasoline-powered mild hybrid counterpart.
The new Citroen C3 looks very similar to the e-C3, with a more refined SUV style than the outgoing C3 which is very close to the standard C3 offered in emerging markets.

“Information about product line updates in Australia will be shared in due course. The current C3 is available in the market,” a spokesperson for Peugeot Citroen Australia said.

The C3 is 4.01m long, up 19mm on the outgoing model. It is also 100mm longer, with ground clearance from 135mm to 197mm.
The new Hybrid 100 powertrain features a three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system and a two-clutch automatic transmission.
The petrol engine produces 75 kW, while the electric motor produces 21 kW. Citroen says the drive provides 205Nm of torque, with 55Nm for the electric motor.
Citroen promises a 10 percent reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption compared to the equivalent petrol model and claims up to 50 percent of city trips can be made in electric mode.

The base engine is a 75kW 1.2 liter three-pot turbo mated to a six-speed gearbox.
All new C3 models receive Citroen’s suspension system with advanced hydraulic airbags, as seen in other flagship vehicles such as the flagship C5 X, which promises a better ride and superior body control.
This system sees two water cushions used in each corner of the car – one for compression, one for compression – in conjunction with the shock absorbers and springs, and instead of mechanical stops.

No details have yet emerged on the interior of the new car, but a revised touchscreen infotainment system is expected to feature modern smartphone compatibility.
The C3 Aircross will use more recycled materials, inside and out, than current models to boost durability, although the increase is likely to be limited.

Regarding Citroën’s approach to global electrification, Cobée said: “There is no reason why Brazil will fundamentally move to electric, because it has its own solution [of high-ethanol fuel].
